These are combined images of Comet Machholz, taken with the University of Chicago's 24 inch telescope.  Each image was  exposed for 60 seconds.  January 28, 2005, Universal Time.

Add these nine images together using HOU-IP to make a composite image of the motion of the comet during 50 minutes.  The interval between the images is approximately 6 minutes.

OR....

Add these fifteen images together using HOU-IP to make a composite image of the motion of the comet during 56 minutes. The interval between the images is approximately 4 minutes.
